Infos

This recipe is best for daylight architecture shots in my opinion. Do play around with other film simulations, the essence of this recipe is shooting at very high ISOs so it doesn't really matter if you don't have all the film simulations. While looking at a few old film photos, I noticed that the grain in those photos was slightly different to the grain I was getting from the Fuji cameras. For some reason the Fuji grain just looks a bit over done. After experimenting a little I realized that with film there is little or no grain in the highlighted areas of the photo. However Fuji's grain option adds grain to the highlights as well. I found that using very high ISO even in daylight shots gives you grain like noise in the shadow areas of the photo and smooth noiseless highlights. Only problem is you can't open your aperture too wide. But I guess it adds to the filmy effect of the photo. Happy shooting!
